In a bid to strengthen security in Oyo State, a former member of the Oyo state House of Assembly and chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Honourable Ayobami Ojo has donated two motorcycles to the Amotekun Corps and Police in ATISBO Local Government Area.
The donation, which took place on Thursday, aligns with the the chairman of the local government, Hon. Bashir Olumuyiwa Alade-led administration’s 100-day milestone.
Ojo emphasized that the motorcycles will enhance surveillance and curb attacks in rural communities.
ATISBO LG chairman just constructed two new security posts. Ojo said his donation of motorcycles to the security posts is to complement the efforts of the chairman towards securing the lives and properties of the good people of ATISBO LG.
“I take this giant step in our collective efforts at enhancing the security and well-being of our people.
“This is just the beginning; one motorcycle for the main council and another for the LCDA.” Ojo stated.
Ojo commended security agencies and gatekeepers for their tireless efforts to secure the area.
He reiterated the LGA administration’s commitment to safety and security, demonstrated by the construction of security posts.
According to him, the motorcycle donation aims to enhance the the security officers’ ability to respond promptly to security threats and facilitate effective surveillance and patrol in rural areas.
Ojo urged security agencies to recommit to defending the people of the area.
This initiative follows Governor Seyi Makinde’s proactive measures to enhance social protection frameworks in Oyo State.
