Governorship hopeful, Engr. Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has extended birthday greetings to the minister of power, Adebayo Adelabu, as he celebrates his 54th birthday.
Sanusi, who hails from Ibadan South East local government like Adelabu, said he feels elated to celebrate his kinsman, adding that Ibadan is proud to have the two of them.
A statement personally signed by Sanusi said “it gladdens my heart to celebrate my fellow Ibadan man and colleague in the bid to better our state. Apart from being titled chiefs in our hometown, we are both from the private sector and in our little ways, we have both contributed to the growth of the state in general. I am Otun Apesinola of Ibadan, he is Agbaakin Parakoyi of Ibadan. I resigned from Halliburton, he left the apex Central Bank of Nigeria. We have both continued to create employment opportunities and support for our people. There are many other of our colleagues who are doing same.
“For me, politics should be for development of the nation and not for selfish reason. That we all want to lead our state means that we saw the gap. I nurse no ill-feelings because it is politics and according to David Easton, it is about who gets what, when and how. I welcome my brother Oloye Adebayo Adelabu into this new age.”
