Chairman of Euro Lounge, Suites and Exclusive Bar and Mogaji of Eegunjenmi family, Itutaba, Oje, Ibadan, Alhaji Adekunle Amidu Busari, on Wednesday, received the Radio, Television, Theatre & Arts Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU) excellence award in Ibadan.
The award, which was presented to the highly urbane Mogaji, by the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, was in recognition of Alhaji Busari’s immense contributions to the uplift of the state and service to humanity.
Several dignitaries, including the Ekefa Olubadan, Senior Chief Lekan Alabi; the Iyaloja-General of Oyo State, Alhaja Saratu Konibaje, Mogaji Ile Iba, Alhaji Nureni Akanbi and a member of the Oyo State Advisory Council, Hon (Chief) Babatunde Oduyoye, among others, attended the event.
The Broadcasting Service of Oyo State chapter of RATTAWU, ably chaired by Comrade Kolapo Carew, had in a letter dated 20th November, 2023, nominated Mogaji Busari for the award, citing his philanthropic gestures and excellence in business.
Mogaji Busari, who attended the event with his delectable wife, Olori Olubunmi Busari, Aare Oniroko of Iroko, Chief Isaac Popoola and his wife as well as other family members, while speaking shortly after the award, said he “has been encouraged to do more for humanity.”
Fondly called KB among his friends, Mogaji Busari gave thanks to Allah and the BCOS RATTAWU for the honour, noting that he was excited to have opened and closed the account of 2023 with honour, having been installed as Mogaji Eegunjenmi in January 2023 by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Dr Mohood Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II.
Also awarded at the event are notable politicians, Engr. Akeem Olatunji and the SSA on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters to Governor ‘Seyi Makinde, Mrs Ramota Agberemi Dabo.
