The founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DAKA Foundation, Dr. Kazeem Adesina Abidikugu popularly known as KSO has urged Nigerians particularly people of Oyo state to celebrate this year’s Easter peacefully as he felicitated Christians on the occasion of crucifying and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
He stressed that the two qualities of love and sacrifice are essential to the unity that Nigeria so desperately needs at this time
Easter is one of the principal feasts of . Christianity. It marks the Resurrection of Jesus Christ three days after his death by crucifixion. For many Christians, Easter is the joyful end to the 40 days Lenten Season.
Abidikugu, a United Kingdom based Psychiatric Consultant congratulated Christians on the successful completion of the 40 Days Lenten Season, saying the sacrifices they endured for the Lenten period should be sustained for their spiritual growth and peaceful living among other Nigerians.
He stressed that the two qualities of love and sacrifice are essential to the unity that Nigeria so desperately needs at this time..
Abidikugu in the statement issued on Saturday to commemorate Easter said,, “I join our Christian brothers and sisters in Nigeria and across the world to celebrate the Easter festivities.
“This commemoration is a time for deep reflection as it marks the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and his victory over death. It is a time to reach out to our brothers and sisters in need.
“It is also a time for all of us regardless of faith, or ethnicity to come together to pray for the peace of Ibadan and Oyo State in general nation.
“We must all remain constant in our efforts to promote unity across all lines because united, we remains stronger and we thrive as a people.
“Let’s celebrate in peace and should use the occasion of this year’s Easter as the one to remember the needy and the downtrodden.
“As we celebrate, let us put smiles to the faces of the downtrodden and make them have the feeling of hope which the risen of Christ has demonstrated to us all”.
