The Oyo state Commissioner for Agriculture, Rural and Natural Development Prince Oyewole Oyewumi has admonished fresh retirees in the ministry not to consider retirement as the end of their carrier.
The commissioner made this known at the valedictory service of the department of Produce Inspection Services of Ministry of Agriculture Rural and Natural Development held at the ministry’s conference centre, secretariat Agodi Ibadan.
BCOS reports that while addressing the new retirees, the state commissioner for Agriculture rural and natural development Prince Oyewole Oyewumi said retirement is just like a mid-stage in the life of man and the idea is just to retool, reorganised and reorientate for further and better services for the communities.
In his remarks, the longest-serving director in the ministry who has been in the capacity of a director since 2005 Alhaji Waheed Alade gave thanks to Almighty God for seeing him through the service, while also commending the ministry staff for their cooperation throughout his tenure in the ministry.
A total number of nine people retired at the ministry, with two directors, two principal officers, chief clerical officer, chief tractor driver, senior watchman and two other watchmen.
