Stakeholders are thousands of party faithfuls in Ibarapa East local government area of Oyo state have affirmed Chief Isaac Omodewu as the chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state.
In a release made available to newsmen on Thursday, they urged the general public to disregard a news by an online newspaper with the title “Ibarapa East APC Rejects Omodewu as Chairman, Adopts Abu Gbadamosi” describing it as fake news.
While appealing to party men to be calm and law-abiding, they listed the authentic stakeholders of the party in the local government and the party chairman of the council as Hon. Segun Ojediran.
The statement read in full: “Our attention has been drawned to a news carried by https:llwww.spygistng.com titled “Ibarapa East APC rejects Omodewu as Chairman, Adopt Abu Gbadamosi “with the purpose of letting the whole world know the character of the people behind the scene and the truth of the matter.
“1. The group was un-known. They only tagged themselves as APC stakeholders members in Ibarapa East.
“2. The stakeholders mentioned in their meeting like Dr. Bayo Adewusi, Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle and Hon. Bimbo Adepoju were not in their meeting.
“3. The meeting was held at “Unknown place to the party, not at the party secretariat. Such meeting held under mango tree cannot be regarded as APC stakeholders meeting in Ibarapa East.
“4. However, it must be categorically stated that the authentic, recognized and undisputable leaders of APC stakeholders in Ibarapa East are:
a. Chief Timothy Alarape Jolaoso, the APC leader in Ibarapa Zone, Ibarapa East and one of the seven zonal Chairmen in Oyo State. Also, he is a member of the Oyo State Elders Advisory Committee.
b. Elder Dayo Adeola, Apostle Samson Goke Aderounmu, Mrs. Moteleola
Taiwo former Oyo South Senatorial Woman Leader and Oyo State APC
Welfare Officer.
c. Hon. Sunday Adepoju (two term house of Representative Members) a.k.a
Sunday Omoyin. Other stakeholders include four former local government council chairmen, namely, Hon. Dr. Adewuyi Akintaro, Hon. Yinus Olarewaju Olaosegba, Hon. Rauf Raji Adeleke, Hon. Kolawole Moses Olusegun (JP).
d. Other stake holders are, Pa Oyeniyi Olalere, Babatunde Oladiran, A.k.a Akogin, Mrs. Adeniyi Felicia, Hon. Jacob Akintola, Hon. Ibrahim Adeleke, Alhaji Mukaila Adewole, Chief M.O. Morawo, Hon Dele Odetunde, Alhaji Mojeed Onibiyo, Deacon Adewole Adewuyi, Mr. Wale Adedeji and the host of other stakeholders two many to mention.
“The APC stakeholders and the millions of party faithful in Ibarapa East Local Government hereby affirm that, Hon. Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu that was sworn in, in Abuja on the 3rd of February, 2022 is the only authentic and recognized APC state Party chairman. All the Ibarapa East APC Stakeholders under the leadership of Chief Timothy Alarape Jolaoso and all the APC party member in Ibarapa East are strongly behind Hon. Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu as the APC Oyo State Party Chairman.
“6. Also, the APC stakeholders in Ibarapa East affirm without any iota of doubt that we are fully in support of all the state executives members that were sworn in on Monday, 7th February 2022. Because they were the only state executive members that participated in the Oyo State APC Congress held at Liberty Stadium on the 30th October, 2021.
“7. Moreover, the APC stakeholders, party leaders and the party faithful in Ibarapa East Local Government hereby declared that Hon. Segun Ojediran is the only recognized and authentic APC Party Chairman in Ibarapa East Local Government.
“Conclusively, we hereby appeal to all our party members to be calm, law abiding and exercise no doubt about the leadership of Hon. Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu as the APC State Party Chairman and Hon. Segun Ojediran as the APC Ibarapa East Local Government Party Chairman.”
