As Oyo state and the world at large continue to battle against coronavirus, TEEKASH EMPIRE Entertainment, a record label owned by Tolani Ajani, has distributed palliatives to the people of Ibadan, the Oyo state capital to cushion the effects of partial lockdown caused by the deadly disease.
The palliatives which were distrubuted via National Volunteer Group (NVG), Oyo State chapter were distributed on Sunday to the people of Samonda community, in Ibadan North local government to commemorate the end of this year’s Ramadan.
According to the organizers, about 1200 people received palliatives comprises Rice, Garri, beans, salt, seasoning and face masks.
While speaking, Ajani said he chose Samonda area in Ibadan because he was born, brought and lived in Samonda community for about 3 decades.
He added that NVG spoke to him about sponsoring a palliative programme to help people of his community as a result of this pandemic which he responded positively and within 2 weeks, the event came to reality.
Meanwhile, the National Volunteer Group on Covid19, Oyo State chapter has congratulated the Muslim faithfuls on the occasion of this year’s Eid-Mubarak’s celebration.
The group in a release by its coordinator, Oláwálé AAtèlúmòtú prayed that Almighty Allah (SWT) will accept the deeds as an act of Ibadah and heal the land from Covid19.
