Oyo state Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye, has commended the state government and Governor Seyi Makinde over strategic efforts geared towards curtailing the spread of Covid-19 in the state.
Barrister Olaleye made the disclosure while addressing retired Heads of Service (HoS) in his office secretariat Ibadan, during a visit of the retired retirees on Monday.
The Commissioner explained that oyo state government has played an enviable role in ensuring safety of its citizens throughout the period of Covid-19 lockdown especially during the peak of the first and second wave, noting that government has not relented in its efforts to curb the spread of the pandemic in Oyo state.
Olaleye expressed appreciations to the retired Heads of Service for the presentation of hand sanitizers to oyo state government calling on other associations to emulate such kind gesture.
The leader of the team Reverend General Larinde Laoye in his remark said the donation of the hand sanitizers was to contribute to the efforts of oyo state government in fighting Covid-19 to ensure safety of lives and properties.
He praised the state government under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde for its resilience and commitment towards fighting Covid-19 urging others to support the current Seyi Makinde led government.
The presentation was however, witnessed by Permanent secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Mrs Aminat Atere, Directors and other top officials from the Ministry.
