Oyo State has recorded fresh confirmed cases of coronavirus, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) revealed.
With the new figures, NCDC stated that 1,398 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours across the country.
Nine new deaths were recorded while 981 recovered patients were discharged.
Lagos recorded the day’s highest toll with 542 cases, while the FCT recorded 131 cases.
Oyo State also reported 120 new cases with Rivers State recording 113 new infections.
Others are from Enugu (51), Nasarawa (41), Delta (39), Edo (39), Osun (33), Niger (31), Sokoto (23), Ondo (16), Taraba (13), Ebonyi (12), Kano (10), Abia (9), Bayelsa (8), Bauchi (7), Imo (5), Katsina (3), and Gombe (1).
So far, there have been 82,555 recoveries while 1,382 fatalities have been recorded.
On Wednesday, Governor Makinde downplayed the second wave of coronavirus pandemic, saying figured from experts countered the narration.
He also promised to get vaccine from manufacturer for the state to supplement what the federal government can cater for.
