To make public his entry into the All Progressives Congress, APC, the lawmaker representing Surulere/OgoOluwa federal constituency, Hon. Olusegun Odebunmi has visited former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala.
Bunvic, who was the only federal lawmaker elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the 2015 election, exited the party few weeks ago. He was said to be unhappy with the composition of the caretaker committee in the state especially in his Surulere local government.
Arriving the Opadoyin Akala Lodge of the Ogbomoso-born former governor, Bunvic who was said to have been recieved by a jubilant Alao-Akala supporters, was quoted to have said that “I came to visit Your Excellency in Abuja sometimes ago to apologise for not following my Oga to the Labour Party. Later, I equally pleaded with Your Excellency to return back into the PDP fold. But some traducers also known to you sir botched our efforts.”
He went further to say that: “I didn’t plan and never thought I would be joining the APC as it is today. But we are grateful to God Almighty, the Finisher of all plans.”
“Your Excellency Sir, we are fully back to our base, the Opadoyin Lodge. And we so recognised Opadoyin Lodge as the political headquarters of Ogbomosholand. We are here to respectfully pay our obeisances to a worthy leader and to show our undiluted and unadulterated loyalty. Alhamdulillah. Your Excellency knows us better. Ise si ti bere niyen.
“Sir, here is our first port of call. And with your blessings, we are moving on to visit other leaders in the APC.. Thank you sir.”
Reacting, the obviously elated Alao-Akala, who recently confirmed his APC membership, said: “You are my blood. We are one and you are my people. We understand ourselves better than some cantankerous others.”
“There are just three gates into Oyo Politics. My Oga, Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, My very self, God be praised, and the incumbent, the Koseleri of Oyo state, Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi. As God decreed it, Ajimobi and myself are solidly and strongly joined together. And we are also blessed with many prolific strikers and utility players. May the good Lord spare our lives; Oyo 2019 is over.”
“Let me assure you that here has always been your home and so it remains. Once again, on behalf of my family, leaders, elders, chieftains and supporters of the APC, you are warmly welcome.”
