The Oyo state chapter of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, on Sunday, made U-turn by announcing Dr. Dele Ajadi as its tentative gubernatorial candidate.
This is as efforts to reach consensus on a gubernatorial candidate failed.
The decision to front Dele Ajadi, insideoyo.com gathered was to field a temporary candidate as INEC deadline looms.
Dr. Ajadi is one of the National Exco of the political party.
Recall that insideOYO.com had earlier reported that sources within the party revealed that leaders of the party have settled for Olufemi Lanlehin, arrangement that others candidates frowned at.
Announcing at the venue of the affirmation, the party chairman, Dr Ahmed Ayinla said the decision to submit a tentative candidate is to help unite the party and to forestall looming crisis.
He also noted that the party is working tirelessly to choose a candidate that will be credible and lead the party to victory at the 2019 general elections.
