I watched Senator Ojudu Babafemi on Channnels TV recently where he feebly struggled all through the interview to answer Maupe Ogun’s questions on Atiku Abubakar as if he was in a witness box in a court of law.
Senator Ojudu is a thoroughbred journalist, but he came to Channels TV with an already railroaded prejudiced opinion to satisfy his paymasters.
The only constant thing in life is change. I was wondering whether the man being “cross-examined” by Maupe is indeed the then Ojudu Babafemi that we all knew during the Abacha Junta day era.
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar had made the right choice and an honourable one for that matter by exiting from the ruling party when all facts on ground and in the air both combined together c?early pointed to the fact that he was no longer needed or wanted in the party despite his massive investment into building and sustenance of the party during the build-up to the general election.
Ojudu’s comment can be likened to the case of blackened kettle trying to paint a stainless kettle black so that they can be viewed and categorised together. The leadership of the APC may neither be bold nor sincere to admit that they dealt with and treated Atiku very unfairly and in an ungodly manners bereft of any milk of humanity and conscience.
Perhaps, does Mr. Ojudu key expected Alhaji Atiku to remain in the APC and played along with the party leadership under a pretence that all is well, and only to bring out his ace and or trump card by embarking on anti-party activities just like Mr. Ojudu and others did during the botched re-election of Dr. Kayode Fayemi as the Governor of Ekiti State.
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is too experienced a politician and honourable to indulge is such clandestine destruction of the party aspiration from within.
And if you are very familiar with all his political struggles and efforts, no one has ever been left in doubt of where the Waziri Adamawa stands on any issue of political and national interest.
He is unlike Senator Ojudu and his bedfellows who will rather play ostrich, sit on the fence and do the destruction from within.
Ekiti APC primary election for the next Gubernatorial primaries is almost here again, like Dr. Olusola One, SAN, like Opeyemi Bamidele and likewise Senator Babafemi Ojudu movie seasons will also replay itself for all of us to watch freely again.
On the Atiku’s exit from the ruling party, I once again proudly state that #I stand with the Waziri Adamawa, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
