The Chairman-elect of ATISBO local government area of Oyo state, Alhaji Bashir Alade has constituted Policy Advisory and Transition Committees.
This, according to him, is in line with his plan to ensure all inclusive governance with his slogan ‘Ajose Wa’.
Alade made this known in a statement personally signed by him and made available to newsmen, on Sunday.
According to the statement, the Policy Advisory Committee will be chaired by His Royal Highness, Oba Gbenga Adigun Adeoye, Aare of Ofiki Land while the Transition Committee will be chaired by Alhaji Ismail Adedeji, a former chairman of ATISBO LGA.
The statement reads in full: “Today, we announced the chairmen, members of two committees, namely the Policy Advisory Committee and Transition Committee.
“In line with my last speech, I promised to constitute a Policy Advisory Committee that will include eminent personalities who will help us to identify numerous policies, programs and projects to be implemented in short, medium and long terms in our various communities.
“The committee has been constituted. Members of the committee were drawn from traditional rulers, leaders in each community and religious leaders.
“The Policy Advisory Committee will be chaired by His Royal Highness, Oba Gbenga Adigun Adeoye, Aare of Ofiki Land while Hon. Kola Ogunrounbi will serve as the Secretary.
“Members of the committee are Mr Ayo Adebayo, Hon. Akeem Amuzat, Mr. Ademola Oyinlola, Imam (Barr) Imran Atilola, Mr. Niyi Adeola, Rev. Steve Awoleye, Muideen Abdulsalam, Mr. Job Aderounmu and Asafa Tajudeen.
“Also, our transition committee who will be in touch with the outgoing government has been constituted.
“This committee will help us ascertain the assets and liabilities of the local government both the main council and the Local Council Development Area, LCDA.
“This committee will be chaired by Alhaji Ismail Adedeji, a former executive chairman of ATISBO local government area while Mr Dauda Ali will serve as the Secretary.
“Members of the committee are Mr Aderemi Adeleke, Ojo Babatunde, Mrs Sade Adeojo and Adedokun John Adeduntan
“The two committees have been given a duration of one month to carry out the tasks.”
