Adebola Shakirat Adetunji’s aspiration for the Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency is a bold and timely step that reflects both her long-standing commitment to public service and her deep connection with the grassroots.

In a political space where credibility and consistency are often tested, ASHAD as she is popularly called has distinguished herself as a woman who has remained steadfast in the struggle. She is not an emergency aspirant; she is someone whose journey has been defined by years of active engagement, loyalty to the party, and a clear understanding of the constituency’s dynamics.

The growing agitation that Ibadan North East Local Government should produce the next representative speaks to the principles of fairness, equity, and inclusiveness. It is only just that every part of the constituency feels a sense of belonging in the political arrangement. As a proud indigene of Ibadan North East, Adebola Shakirat embodies this legitimate aspiration, standing at the intersection of zoning justice and proven capacity.

Among the field of aspirants, Shakirat brings a unique blend of experience, accessibility, and vision. She has built strong relationships across communities, maintained close ties with party faithful, and demonstrated a genuine passion for people-centered development. Her focus on youth empowerment, women’s participation, and grassroots mobilization positions her as a forward-thinking leader ready to make meaningful contributions.

What makes her aspiration particularly compelling is her authenticity. She understands the people because she has walked with them. She listens because she values their voices. And she aspires not for personal gain, but to provide effective and responsive representation.

As the selection process unfolds, stakeholders and party members are presented with an important choice, one that will shape the future of the constituency. In Adebola Shakirat, they will find not just an aspirant, but a tested and trusted figure whose dedication, competence, and inclusive approach set her apart.

Her aspiration is not just another name in the race; it is a strong statement of readiness, fairness, and the promise of impactful representation.
