Responding, Wale Ajani expressed appreciation to the leadership of Accord for their encouragement and confidence, describing his aspiration as “God’s own project.” He stated that by the grace of God, he would emerge as the candidate, adding that he has been groomed and prepared for the responsibility over the years.

Ajani said his aspiration is driven by a sincere desire to provide effective and impactful representation for the people of Òyó Central. According to him, the district deserves leadership that is accessible, courageous, responsive, and fully committed to the welfare and advancement of the people.

He also commended the leadership of Accord for its purpose-driven strategy, focused leadership, and grassroots political engagement, noting that the party has continued to distinguish itself as a credible platform for progressive-minded people who are committed to genuine service.

The aspirant further called on members and supporters of Accord to continue spreading the message and ideals of the party across political lines and communities. He urged party faithful to remain united and committed to building a stronger movement capable of delivering real change to the people.

Ajani also used the occasion to call on politicians of note and well-meaning stakeholders across Òyó State to join Accord in the collective mission to rescue Òyó State in 2027. He said the task of rebuilding the state and restoring confidence in governance must be a collective one, driven by sincerity, competence, and a genuine passion for service.

He reaffirmed his belief that Òyó Central can enjoy better representation, especially in the areas of youth empowerment, education, infrastructure, economic growth, and community development. He pledged to champion initiatives and policies that will improve the quality of life of the people and ensure that the district gets the strong voice it deserves.

Observers described the event as a major political step for Ajani and a clear sign of growing mobilization and confidence within Accord in Òyó Central. With the nomination process expected in the coming weeks, his formal picking of the Expression of Interest Form has further heightened political interest in the race.
