A Group, PDP Youth for Good Governance has said that Ambassador Taofeeq Arapaja’s comment on Former Governor Ayodele Fayose is apt and factual.
The group also urged Fayose to see this release as gentle man type adding that any further attempt to disrespect Arapaja will attract strict reprisal.
These were made known in a release made available to newsmen on Monday.
It reads in full: “Our attention has been drawn to a release purportedly emanated from Fayose’s acolytes under the aegis of PDPYC. The group described Arapaja as a wanderer while praising Fayose for staying in the Party till date.
“In Party politics, it is not a seditious to exit a Party at any point on time in the face of perceived injustice, impunity and gang-up against one’s interest and aspirations.
“Lots of political heavyweights in Nigeria has done this .
“In recent time, Muhammed Buhari, Atiku Abubakar, Bukola Saraki, Rasidi Ladoja, Alao Akala and et all have exited a Party for another. Fayose himself wandered to Labour Party and sojourned there before coming back to PDP. We advise Fayose to desist from his evil mission to destabilize South West PDP as such can only happen in his dream. It is high time Governor Ayo Fayose retrace his steps and stop sponsoring non-existing groups to attack the God’s chosen one.
“Leadership is of God and He bestows it on him whom he has chosen. Who is Fayose to wrestle this with God? By virtue of God’s own design, Seyi Makinde, being the only PDP Governor in the South West remain the leader of the Party irrespective of any arrogant impostor.
“Arapaja”s re -alignment with the Party occurred in March 2019 when he participated actively in the election that gave victory to Engr Seyi Makinde and consequently the rejoining of the Party at Mapo Hall in March 2020.
“Poaching of credible members is part of politics especially when such member will make a difference during election. Out of the three recent elections in which PDP participated, it is only Godwin Obaseki, a new entrant into the Party that won. Regrettably, we lost the election both in Osun and Ondo state respectively.
“In 2014 Fayose openly opposed People’s Democratic Party’s mandate to the detriment the party. We are not unaware of the role he played in the last general election where he worked against Senator Olujimi. It’s now Crystal clears whose bids he is fronting.
“In as much as we carry ex Governor Fayose in high esteem, we won’t allow him to jeopadize our efforts to bring good governance down to the nooks and crannies of Southwest through the most Democratic, most reliable, most populated party in Africa (PDP)
“It’s laughable to see Fayose and his cohorts trying to use back door policy while trying to stop a lawful congress coming up on 6th of March 2021.
“Lastly, Fayose should see this press release as gentle man type, any further attempt to disrespect or cast as passion on the personality of a GOD chosen candidate will attract strict reprisal from us.”
