The Mogaji of Eegunjenmi Family, Itutaba E8/128, Oje, Ibadan and chairman, Euro Lounge, Suites and Exclusive Bar, Alhaji Adekunle Busari, has maintained that the entire family has continued to miss the leadership, direction and contributions of the late Ambassador Ibironke Adefope nee Vaughan, one year after her demise.
Mogaji Busari stated this on Tuesday, in a one year remembrance message sent out to newsmen in Ibadan.
He described the late Adefope, who served as Nigeria’s High Commissioner to Zambia, as a quintessential family woman and a worthy daughter of the Egunjenmi Family, during her lifetime, noting that her advice, unifying prowess and impact have been sorely missed.
According to Mogaji Busari, the entire Egunjenmi Family misses and continues to pray for the repose of the soul of Amb. Adefope, while also praying to the Almighty God to abide with and guide everyone she left behind.
“Today marks a year since we lost our daughter, aunt, mother and grandmother, Amb. Ibironke Adefope nee Vaughan, former Nigeria’s High Commissioner to Zambia and former Member of the Oyo State Advisory Council.
“In Amb. Adefope, the Egunjenmi Family, Itutaba E8/128, Oje, Ibadan lost a gem, one of the major rallying points for the family and a true family woman, who gave her best for the unification of the family.
“She was a worthy daughter and a great ambassador of not only the Akinloye family, sustaining the legacy of our great uncle, Chief Meredith Adisa Akinloye but also an exemplar within the Egunjenmi Family.
“Her advice, love and contributions have been missed in the last one year. But we have taken solace in the Almighty God that she is resting with her Maker.
“On behalf of the entire Egunjenmi Family, Itutaba E8/128, Oje, Ibadan, we pray to God to continue to grant repose to her soul and to abide with the children and family she left behind.”
