The Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige has described Engr Seyi Makinde as a man of his words who has consistently been fulfilling all the promises he made to both the electorates and the politicians that worked for his success in the 2019 gubernatorial election.
Hon. Ige, who is the Baameto Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland stated this while reacting to the new appointments made by the Governor yesterday.
Ige who said he was happy that Governor Makinde has never reneged on his promises hinted that with less than two and a half years to his administration, he has fulfilled about 85% of those promises in every facet of governance, adding that the Governor has continued to deliver on his promises on daily basis.
While congratulating the new appointees, Hon. Gbenga Oyekola, Hon. Adeyinka Adeniyi Kazeem (Bibire), Chief Kunmi Mustapha, Rev. Femi Ibikunle and others on their well deserved appointments, Hon. Ige urged them to see their appointments as a call to service.
He further added that the appointees should discharge their duties diligently by ensuring that they contribute their quotas to the development of the Seyi Makinde led administration’s good governance so as to justify the confidence reposed in them by the Governor.
Hon. Ige who described Hon. Oyekola’s appointment as a huge plus to the PDP led government in Oyo town noted that Oyekola who hails from Oyo is a grassroot politician, mobilizer and bridge builder.
While wishing the appointees a successful tenure, Hon. Ige, however, enjoined those that are still aggrieved with the Governor not to lose hope but rather cooperate with the Governor to deliver on his promises.
