The lawmaker representing Oluyole Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, has defended her record of service, stating that public discourse should be driven by facts and verifiable evidence rather than political rhetoric.
In a statement, Akande-Sadipe urged the Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Mr. Akeem Olatunji, to account for his own stewardship by highlighting the projects and achievements recorded during his tenure instead of making what she described as misleading claims.
Akande-Sadipe said the records are evidently abundant as she has successfully delivered multiple infrastructural projects, including school blocks, transformers, boreholes, Solar powered lights, among other things across Oluyole.
She clarified that the Ijebu Igbo–Itaegba–Owonowen Road is not one of her constituency projects but an independent Federal Government initiative that had experienced significant setbacks before she assumed office.
According to the lawmaker, her intervention through sustained engagement, oversight, and collaboration with the relevant authorities helped revive the project, leading to noticeable progress.
Akande-Sadipe encouraged members of the public and the media to verify the facts by consulting officials of the Federal Ministry of Works in Oyo and Ogun States, as well as community leaders and residents along the project corridor, who, she said, are familiar with the history and recent progress of the road.
Reaffirming her commitment to the development of Oluyole Federal Constituency, the federal lawmaker highlighted some of her interventions, including the facilitation of five pedestrian bridges along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway to enhance the safety of residents.
She also disclosed that work is ongoing on 11 additional boreholes across Oluyole Local Government, while plans are underway for the installation of 150 solar-powered streetlights in communities within the constituency.
Akande-Sadipe maintained that the listed projects represent only part of her achievements, stressing that she remains committed to delivering impactful and sustainable development for the people of Oluyole Federal Constituency.
