For the first time in 48-hours after the death of her boyfriend, Olugbenga Abiodun, popularly known as DJ Olu, the third daughter of Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State, Ajibola Ajimobi, has broken her silence.
Ajibola, on Snapchat on Monday, shared a picture of herself and the late disc jockey with the caption: “Rest easy my baby. Always watching over me my angel.”
DJ Olu was found dead in his car on Saturday, alongside a friend.
He was the second associate of Afro-pop star, Davido, to die within a week. Tagbo Umeike, boyfriend of actress Caroline Danjuma, had died a few days earlier.
According to The Cable, Ajibola’s relationship with DJ Olu was kept under wraps, only known to close friends. They hardly ever shared pictures of themselves on social media.
Her followers on Instagram have been posting condolence messages on her page, especially on a picture of her fingers intertwined in that of the late DJ Olu.
One of the comments read: “I keep staring at this picture and it’s like my heart keeps shattering over and over again from what I know and have seen you guys were the ideal couple goal and one of my faves… you have always been strong and I hope God will strenghten you even more this time… he really has gone to a better place friend.. I love you and will keep praying for you forever and always. May his soul rest in perfect peace.”
Her elder sister, Abisola Kola-Daisi, had earlier mourned the death of DJ Olu, describing him as “my baby brother and best uncle to my babies”.
Ajibola runs The Lush beauty company and also has a YouTube vlog called ‘Always About Ajay’.
