The lawmaker representing Ibadan South East/North East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin, has presented bags of rice to market leaders in his constituency through the office of the Babaloja General of Oyo State.
Distributing the bags of rice to representatives of markets in Ibadan North East/South East, the Babaloja General of Oyo State, Asiwaju Yekeen Abass, thanked the federal lawmaker for the food package, noting that the distribution has become a yearly ritual for the lawmaker.
Asiwaju YK Abass stated that the traders’ association sees Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin as one of them who wants the members to develop and be self-sufficient.
Earlier in his welcome address, one of the members of the Babaloja-in-Council, Chief Dauda Oladepo, stated that the food package from the federal lawmaker is a testament to the unity among the traders’ associations in the constituency.
He urged other political office holders in other constituencies to emulate the gesture of Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin and remember traders and artisans in the scheme of things.
In his remarks, the President of the Progressive Traders and Artisans Association of Nigeria (PROTAN), Mogaji Kamorudeen Salaudeen, stated that the traders’ and artisans’ association under the Babaloja General of Oyo State will continue to be good middlemen in bringing the dividends of democracy to traders and artisans.
