The grandeur of the Yuletide season descended upon Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa, as the institution hosted the second edition of its Christmas Carol on the 13th of December 2023 at the Institution Assembly.
This festive initiative, spearheaded by the Governing Council, Prof. Abiodun Ojo, was dedicated to celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa, has consistently made waves in the media space recently, showcasing various positive programs within the institution.This success can be attributed to the understanding and commitment of the Governing Council and Management.
The Christmas Carol, graced Prof. Abiodun Ojo, Chairman of the Governing Council, and other esteemed members, featured attendees from the Management team, led by Dr. Gbade Akinteye (Ag. Rector), Chief Peluola (Chairman, Eruwa Elders Council), Chief Olajide Olawuyi Ojedapo, Baale of Aborerin, Chief John Adegboyega, Otun of New Eruwa, Deans of Faculties, Directors of Units, Heads of Departments, Religious Leaders, Staff, and Students.
Dr. Gbade Akinteye, in his remarks, expressed gratitude to Prof. Abiodun Ojo and the entire Council for initiating such a beautiful program. He highlighted the remarkable developments in the institution over the past year, attributing them to the commitment and passion of all stakeholders.
The Acting Rector stated, “I appreciate God Almighty for His protection and mercy on this institution. Our presence here today is a testimony to the fact that God has been merciful to us on this campus. We have recorded many improvements this year due to the commitment and passion of all stakeholders of this institution.”
Prof. Abiodun Ojo, Chairman of the Governing Council, commended the Christmas Carol committee for the meaningful arrangement of the program. He expressed gratitude to everyone present, emphasizing the priority placed on the development of the school.
Rev’d Dr. S.O Okunlola, Education Director, Ibadan Baptist Conference, delivered a comprehensive message on the theme of the program, ‘Why Celebrate the Birth of Jesus?’. He emphasized the importance of the celebration, noting that Jesus came to change many things, which include helping, saving, and protecting humanity.
Rounding off the program, Evang. A.S. Jesulowo, Chairman of the Christmas Carol Committee, expressed special appreciation to the Governing Council Chairman for his knowledge and administrative acumen.
He thanked all staff, the Management team, community leaders, AOPE Mass Choir, and students for attending the program, offering a prayer for the progress of the institution.
