The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Oyo State chapter, has sent a congratulatory message to Otunba Gani Adams on his installation as the 15th Aare Ona-Kakanfo of Yoruba race by Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, at Oyo today.
The party in a statement personally signed by the Chairman of PDP in Oyo State, Alh Kunmi Mustapha, and released to the press by the Oyo State PDP Publicity Secretary, Engr Akeem Olatunji, admonished the new Aare Ona-Kakanfo to see his new status as an avenue to bring about the unity of Yoruba race. Alh Kunmi Mustapha further advised Otunba Gani Adams to put the security of the Yoruba people at the uppermost part of his mind due to various security challenges facing the country as a result of Fulani herdsmen, Boko Haram insurgent, Badoo killings and kidnapping most especially as it affects the Yoruba nation.
The Oyo State PDP Chairman also gave kudos to the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, for painstakingly choosing a round peg in a round hole as the choice of a young and vibrant Otunba Gani Adams portrays Alaafin as a Monarch who is in tune with modern trends.
The party therefore join millions of Nigerians to pray for a peaceful and successful tenure as Otunba Gani Adams becomes the Generalismo of Yoruba land!!!
