The Aare of Ofiki Land, Alayeluwa Oba Adeoye Gbenga Adigun Oyinlola II JP has expressed gratitude to Senator Abiola Ajimobi, the Executive Governor of Oyo state for his kindness over the approval of Ofiki river collapsed bridge.
InsideOyo.com gathered that the river collapsed bridge killed about three people sometimes last year cutting off the community from her major hub of the economic route connecting Igbojaiye, Komu, Babaode in Itesiwaju local government area Oyo state.
In an appreciation note made available to InsideOyo.com on Thursday, Oba Oyinlola II also appreciated the efforts and influence of Oke Ogun illustrious daughter, Chief Mrs Ogunesan Olawunmi Hannah and others on the approval of the reconstruction of the collapsed bridge.
“The Commissioners for works, Local government and Chieftaincy matters, Environment & water resources as well as the local government Chairmen efforts are appreciated.
“We are proud of her.”, he said.
According to reports, work has commenced on the bridge and the engineers have assured non-stop till completion soon.
“I want to use the medium to call on the attention of the federal legislatures representing our constituency to also do well to influence FERMA on the construction of all roads linking Ofiki from Agunrege & AgoAre which are abandoned respectively.
“Recently, I received the donation of a borehole drinking water fund from United Yoruba of Tulsa during my tour of United States of America in Match.
“Another one on arrival was donated by Attawasul Worldwide Foundation based in Nigeria. We are grateful to them.” Kabiyesi added.
