The Aare musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta states, Alhaji Daud Akinola led prominent Muslim leaders on assessment visit to the scene of Ibadan explosion.
On the entourage of Alhaji Daud Akinola were the Iyalaje Adeen of Yorubaland Alhaja Sidikat Aderibigbe, Asiwaju Adeen of Oyo State Alhaji Mutiu Oladejo Onimalu, Babasale Musulumi of Ibadanland Chief Nureni Akanbi, the Chairman Muslim Community of Oyo state, Chief Bayo Oyero, Babaloja General of Oyo state, Alhaji Yekeen Abass and host of other Muslim leaders.
While accessing the level of damage at the epicenter of the explosion, the Aare Musulumi frowned at the activities of the foreigners who were allegedly fingered in the incident and called for a through investigation to unravel the activities of illegal miners that kept explosive in residential estate.
He urged the federal government to as a matter of urgency deployed necessary help through Oyo state government to ameliorate the suffering of the victims.
The Muslim leader commended the Oyo state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde for taking proactive steps immediately the news broke.
Others who spoke during the visit, were Chief Bayo Oyero, Chief Nureni Akanbi, Alhaja Bolade Aderibigbe and Alhaji Mutiu Oladejo who all commiserated with the family of the deceased and prayed for the repose of the dead.
The Aare musulumi of Yorubaland Edo and Delta State and his team later paid a sympathy visit to Ibadan legal luminary, Chief Niyi Akintola and the Former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Chief Iyiola Oladokun whose properties were also affected by the incident.
