The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for Saki West State Constituency in the 2027 Oyo State House of Assembly election, Kabeer Adebayo Salaudeen, has launched an agricultural empowerment initiative aimed at improving farmers’ productivity and boosting the local economy.
The programme, tagged “Agricultural Revolution,” was organised to equip farmers in the constituency with modern agricultural knowledge and techniques that would help improve their farming activities and increase yields.
The initiative attracted hundreds of farmers, who benefited from training sessions focused on improved agricultural practices, access to relevant knowledge and strategies for maximising farm output.
Speaking on the programme, Salaudeen who’s also the Majority leader of Saki West Local government legislative arm said the initiative was driven by his commitment to supporting farmers and promoting agriculture as a major pathway for economic development in Saki West.
He stressed that providing farmers with the right knowledge and resources would help address some of the challenges affecting rural agriculture while creating sustainable opportunities for growth.
Salaudeen added that agriculture remained a critical sector capable of improving livelihoods, creating employment opportunities and strengthening the economic base of the constituency.
The agricultural empowerment programme forms part of his wider engagement with residents of Saki West ahead of the 2027 election, with emphasis on initiatives aimed at promoting economic development and community growth.
