Honourable Olusegun Olayiwola, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters in Oyo state, has urged residents of the state and Nigerians at large to let the spirit of unity and progress guide their steps.
Olayiwola made this known in a new year message made available to journalists, on Monday, in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
He added that the ingenuity of Governor Seyi Makinde and the King Makers in the selection and enthronement of Traditional rulers is highly appreciated.
He urged traditional rulers to give maximum support to the Seyi Makinde-led administration
The statement read: “As we stand on the threshold of 2024, a year brimming with possibilities, I urge the good people of Oyo State to remain unwavering in their commitment to progress.
“Governor Seyi Makinde’s visionary agenda is a beacon of hope, steering us towards a brighter future. In these transformative times, let us unite with unwavering trust and forge ahead together. The journey may be challenging but with collective determination, we shall reach the promised land.
“Let the spirit of unity and progress guide our steps as we embark on the journey of year 2024.
“We appreciate the adequate security of lives and properties brought by the Seyi Makinde administration and admonish the residents of Oyo State to say something when they see something.
“The ingenuity of Governor Seyi Makinde and the King Makers in the selection and enthronement of Traditional rulers is highly appreciated. We therefore, enjoin our Traditional rulers to give maximum support to the Seyi Makinde led administration in fostering a tapestry of growth and prosperity across Oyo State.
