The Association of Tradesmen and Artisans, Oyo State Chapter, under the leadership of Alhaji Yisau Kolayode Hamzat, has said that the association hasn’t endorsed any gubernatorial candidate ahead of the 2023 general elections.
He also debunked the rumor indicating that the association has been holding meeting with any gubernatorial candidate in the state.
Speaking on Thursday afternoon in Ibadan, the President of the Association, Alhaji Hamzat maintained that the news was false and urged members of the public to disregard it totally.
He noted further that the position of the association will be made known in due time as regards the choice of the candidate to endorse
In his words: “Concerning the rumour that has been doing the round indicating that artisans in the state have been meeting with some politicians in the state, I can boldly tell you that it is false.
“Nothing of such is happening within us at the moment. We have not met with any politician in the state. So, I want to urge members of the public to disregard such news coming from the pit of hell.
“Let me also quickly add that, very soon, we will let the public know the gubernatorial candidate of the party we want to endorse ahead of the 2023 general elections. But for now, such a move has not been made.
“As an association, once we are done with our resolution, which will have the input of our executive members as well, it will be communicated to the public in due time.”
