Ahead of the 2023 general election, Ibadan-born businessman, Tolulope Folorunsho Hammed popularly known as Mido, has declared his intention to represent the good people of Ibadan South East 2 under the platform of All Progressives Congress at the Oyo State House of Assembly.
Mido, the Ladoke Akintola University Of Technology graduate, said he was aware that his people lack socio-economic development which necessitated his intention to contest the House of Assembly seat.
“We are lacking good water and good electricity, I want to assure my people that if I am given the mandate to lead them, I will ensure they have access to good water and good electricity because these are basic needs we must have in the society.”
He added that he was aware of the fact many see Ibadan South East as place for violence and thuggery but if people like him can come out of the constituency with good educational background, then he was certain that he can be good example to follow in order to change the lives of the people, most especially the youths in the constituency.
“I know to change the attitude of the people in God’s hand but we will do everything to help in the development of our people. Youths will be engaged with so many activities and we do everything to involve women in our decision making as well as children. We already have things in place despite not being any political office and we will do more If we are given the mandate to represent our people.”
He said his party, the All Progressives Congress is behind him to achieving his dream to represent his constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly.
