The Acting Chairman of the Traditional Council in Saki West Local Government and the High Chief Bagi of Sakiland, Abdur Rasheed Ghazaal Adegokeh, Adekilutoro 1 has lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for his landmark achievements within the short period in office, describing his magnanimity in office as very commendable.
The High Chief said this on Friday, in Saki in a congratulatory message to the governor on his celebration of 100 Days in office as the Executive Governor of Oyo state.
He pointed out his undertakings during his first 100 days including the security apparatus put in place, prompt payment of workers’ salaries and pensions to both serving and retirees and by extension, qualitative education.
He said that, the foregoing exhibits the concepts of direction of his government which will lead the people of Oyo state to a new dawn.
The release reads in part “On behalf of the sons and daughters of Saki, I want to sincerely crave this opportunity to applaud Governor Seyi Makinde’s monumental achievements within the first 100 days in office.
“It is very obvious that, he is using this historical opportunity to preside over the affairs of the people and make their lives better. He should concentrate on his efforts to take Oyo State to the greater height. I, thereafter, applaud him for the prompt payment of workers salaries and retirees”
The High Chief also sought the indulgence of Governor Seyi Makinde over the Saki Dual lane, appealing for the resumption of works to ameliorate the agony of the road users. He also urged the Governor to quickly intervene in the installation of new Okere of Saki that has been vacant for a very long time.
He charged him to remain focused, committed and keen to every issue that will help the affairs of the people of the state and make their lives more meaningful, saying that leaving behind a legacy of this nature should be his priority.
“I want to use this opportunity to draw your attention to the abandoned dual carriage lane of my domain. I’m appealing on behalf of residents and citizens of my community to use your good office to ameliorate the suffering of the people of Saki.
“Moreso, the vacant stool of Okere of Saki is long-awaited, I urge you in this regards. I wish you a successful tenure of office.” the release reads.
