The government of Oyo State has appointed Ibadan-born deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Oloye Adebayo Adelabu as chairman of the State Security Trust Fund Board of Trustees. Mr Femi Oyedipe was announced as Executive Secretary, with six others as members.
The nominees, incuding Adelabu, who is one of the grandsons of late Alhaji Adegoke Adelabu were nominated by Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
The nomination was confirmed this afternoon by the Oyo State House of Assembly.
Apart from advising government on issue of security, the board is expected to generate fund for the management of security in the state.
