The All Progressives Congress in Oyo state has described a former governor of the state, Otunba (Dr.) Adebayo Alao-Akala, as a treasure for the society whose passion and commitment to a better Nigeria cannot be overemphasized.
Alao-Akala, a leader of the APC in Oyo state, was in office as Deputy Governor between 2003 and 2011.
In a statement issued on Thursday in Ibadan and made available to journalists by its Caretaker Committee Chairman, Chief Akin Oke, APC congratulated the former governor.
The party also urged him not to relent in his untiring efforts to serve God and humanity in his capacity as a statesman, political leader and senior citizen of Nigeria.
“Every June 3 of the years marks the occasion of the birth of an enigma called Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala whose personality means a lot to us as players in the democratic process in the country.
“We are proud to celebrate him today and we join members of his family, political associates, friends, admirers and supporters to wish him a happy birthday and many happy returns of the day.” Oke stated.
