The founder of Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation and chieftain of the All Progressive Congress in Lagelu Local Government in Oyo State, Arc (Dr.) Hassan Giwa felicitated Christian in Lagelu/Akinyele federal constituency and the state as a whole on the occasion of Xmas celebration.
Arc Giwa also in order to make members of his party, All Progressive Congress (APC) in Lagelu and Akinyele Local Governments enjoy Xmas celebration, distributed bags of rice and gifted cash to aid the celebration.
He stated that the distribution of food item and gift of cash is to lend his support to the party faithful and aided the celebration of Christmas for members in the two local governments.
The HOG foundation founder assured that his foundation will continue to reach out through his people-oriented programmes including free vocational training, free WAEC and JAMB forms, free health care and women, youth and widow empowerment.
In his Christmas message signed and made available to journalists, Arc Giwa felicitated Christian on the occasion of the birth of Jesus Christ and charged them to reflect on the lessons and preaches of peace, love and sacrifice exhibited by Jesus who the whole world is celebrating today.
The All Progressive Congress chieftain said the lessons and teaches of Xmas will help us to maintain peaceful coexistence among ourselves irrespective of religion, ethnic and political background.
He enjoined the people of Lagelu/Akinyele federal constituency, Oyo State and Nigeria as whole to continue showing love, and live a life of brotherliness which are the tenets of Christian as a religion practiced by Jesus.
”I congratulate all Christian in Lagelu/Akinyele, Oyo State and Nigeria in general on the occasion of Xmas in which God counted us among the living witnesses.
“I want to use the occasion of Xmas to appeal to all Nigerians irrespective of religion, ethnic and political background to show love to one another, and as well continue to live a life of brotherliness. This is what will bring peace, and foster unity among ourselves.
“I want to also say that we should throw caution to the wind as regards the issue of the new variant of COVID-19. We strictly adhere to the established protocols by protecting ourselves and staying safe at all times.
