As part of the present administration’s efforts in Oyo State towards youth welfarism and development, the State government on Wednesday organised a sensitization program in order to cut down the effects of unemployment on the youth and the society at large.
While delivering his address at the sensitization programme tagged ‘ Life after National Youth Corps Service’ organised for the out going 2018 Batch ‘C’ stream 1&2 Corp members, the Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Hon. Seun Fakorede disclosed that the Government of Engr. Seyi Makinde would ensure adequate training for the youths in Oyo State to discover their potentials and engage them on various entrepreneurship projects.
The Commissioner, however commended the outgoing Corp members for answering the clarion call and contributing key their quota through different projects embarked upon for the State development.
While reading her opening address, Oyo State Head of Service, Mrs. Ololade Agboola declared that the present administration in the State would not leave any stone unturned towards having its youths gainfully employed and as well prepare them for a brighter future.
While delivering her goodwill messages, the National Youth Service Coordinator, Mrs. Eniola Ambekemo urged the outgoing Corp members to always strive to attain greater heights in their next phase of life after the service year.
In their separate remarks, some of the Corp members expressed their gratitude to the State Government for the support and interest in ensuring the welfare of the Corp members in the State.
