The All Progressives Congress APC in Oyo state has expressed its delight at the decision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to appoint one of its members, Dr. Abisoye Ayoyinka Fagade, as the new Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism describing the development as an indication that the president was poised to impart positively on all sectors of the nation’s economy
President Tinubu announced the Ibadan-born marketing communication expert and businessman on Thursday through his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, as one of the four key appointments made to ensure quicker realization of the renewed hope of the current APC administration.
In a statement issued on Thursday and made available to journalists in Ibadan by its Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, Oyo APC stated that Fagade’s appointment came at the right time as it was the needed testament to the fact that President Tinubu was aware of the iconic roles played by many individual members of the party in his electoral success in 2023 while he would not abandon everyone in the party as the administration stabilized.
“Fagade was one of the heroes of the last general election in the last general election as he gave his all to all the candidates of the APC including President Tinubu. He mobilized heavily with his personal resources without looking back even help seemed not to be coming from where it was expected. He even sacrificed his own political ambition to ensure that the APC succeeded and he remained steadfast throughout.
“As a versatile patriot, well traveled businessman and cerebral technocrat with prerequisite wherewithal to turn things around anywhere, we are upbeat about his capability to transform the nation’s hospitality and tourism sector in no time while his midas torch would assist the cause of diversification of the economy of the country as desired by well meaning and informed citizens.” APC added.
