The Oke Ogun Polytechnic, Saki has congratulated Barrister Lateef Sarafadeen Abiola over his appointment as the Chairman, Governing Council of the institution.
Sarafadeen Abiola also known as Onijo was appointed by Governor Seyi Makinde in a letter dated 13th of September, 2022 which was signed by the Secretary to the state government, Mrs Olubamiwo Adeosun.
The management of the institution in a statement, on Wednesday, by the Acting Registrar, Mr Babatunde Lanre Ojo, described the appointment as putting a round peg in a round hole.
It read: “On behalf of council members, Acting management, members of staff and student of the Oke Ogun Polytechnic, Saki, I want to congratulate the new chairman of our governing council, Barrister Lateef Sarafadeen Abiola.
“No doubt, your appointment is putting a round peg in a round hole. We express optimism that your time will bring development to the institution. We wish you good luck and successful stay.”
Barr. Abiola attended the Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto and the Nigerian Law School, Lagos, where he obtained LL.B and Barrister of Law degrees respectively.
Called to the Nigerian Bar about 20 years ago, Barr. Abiola is the current chairman of the Nigeria Bar Association, Saki branch.
