Oyo State Government on Friday released the time table for its Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) Computer Based Test (CBT).
According to the schedule, the examination which will commence on Tuesday, 11th August 2020 will end on the 21st of August, 2020.
The venue of the examination is the 1500 Capacity University of Ibadan Distance Learning CBT Center.
The TESCOM boss, Pastor Akin Alamu said those who yet to rectify issues on their names or those that their names were not shortlisted should forget about the test as nothing could be done anymore.
Alamu said the test would include questions on current affairs, noting that the disables are not going to write CBT but “screened/interviewed with auto-employment since the applicants are few in number.”
He said the CBT invitation would be done via SMS or email, and the examination will run from 7am to 6pm everyday, excluding Sunday.
Alamu disclosed that the date has been scheduled by subjects positions, adding that those who have uploaded their documents successfully but did not receive CBT invitation should approach the TESCOM office and not the CBT center.
In a related development, appeals have gone to TESCOM to decentralize the examination to enable those in other zones outside Ibadan to write the exam in their zones.
The appeal is coming from some applicants who do not want their names in print.
Insideoyo.com recalls that Oyo state is made up of 5 zones namely Ibadan, Ibarapa, Oyo, Oke Ogun and Ogbomoso.
There has been no response from the government to this appeal.
Also, Information from TESCOM is that non-teaching staff with lower cadre such as cleaners, messengers etc. would not be required to write exams, but non teaching staff such as accountants, and others of the same category would be required to sit exams.
It’s not clear whether they are to sit for this examination or another one.
