A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state, Engineer Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe has appealed to Governor Seyi Makinde to establish a 21st century emergence response facility.
Tegbe stated this on Monday while commiserating with the people of Oyo over the fire incident that engulfed Akesan market on Sunday morning.
In a statement made available to InsideOyo.com, the APC guber aspirant in the last general elections said the life of every citizen is precious and must be prioritized.
He said “It’s with great sorrow in my heart that I commiserate with the people of Oyo town and most especially the families who lost their loved ones in yesterday’s fire incidence at the Akesan market
“It’s regrettable that lives and properties were lost in this unfortunate fire incident.
“In the face of increased incidences of fire outbreak in the recent past and the infrastructure challenges the state is facing, it’s paramount that the government of Oyo State urgently prioritize establishing a 21st century emergency response infrastructure and facility to prevent such unfortunate incident in the future.
“The life of each and every citizen is precious and must be prioritized at all times. May the Lord comfort the families and friends of the lost ones and the people of Oyo.”
