Popular Ibadan Fuji star, Taye Akande Adebisi, popularly known as Taye Currency, has expressed shock over reports of his arrest in Abuja with human skulls and fake building documents.
The Fuji star urged his fans to disregard the news, adding that, “he is a law-abiding citizen who would never engage in any unlawful act.”
Tope Eluyefa, his spokesperson said the singer was neither invited nor arrested in Abuja by the police as he was in his house till mid-week before he received an award in Lagos State, last Friday.
Currency has been busy in series of engagements. So there was no time he was invited by any law enforcement agency.
“The news came to us as a shock. We suspected that the news may be connected to the political ambition of Currency’s son, who is eyeing a seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly come 2019. So, some bad elements may be trying to distract our attention from our set goals,” he said
