A 14-year-old student of Oritamefa Baptist Model School, in lbadan, Oyo state, Oluwatimilehin Charles Taleatu, has emerged as overall second best at the 2022 Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, National Science Quiz Competitions.
NNPC said this in a post on its Twitter account on Tuesday.
The oil company said Taleatu came second in the keenly contested quiz.
In June, Taleatu won the regional contest of the quiz in southwest which included Lagos, Ondo, Ekiti, Ogun and Osun.
Over the years, NNPC has made intervention in the education and capacity development areas, a fulcrum of its approach to Corporate Social Responsibility.
With the signing of the Petroleum Industry Act by President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, the company had said it was a further impetus to increase its impact in the lives of all Nigerians.
