A serving House of Representative member and ADC candidate in Egbeda/Ona-ara Federal Constituency, Hon. Taiwo Micheal Akintola and party members, the residents rolled out drums and chanted solidarity songs in support of the party’s candidates including gubernatorial candidate, Olufemi Lanlehin.
This is coming as the residents trooped out in hundreds on Friday to receive candidates of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) with pomp and pageantry.
Loyalists in Ona Ara said they stand for other candidates of the ADC including Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, Oyo central senatorial candidate and Hon. Wale Ajani, the House of Assembly candidate of the party in Ona-ora.
According to a report by Guardian Nigeria, at Badeku, Jago and Butu communities, it was a majestic homecoming for the lawmaker.
Residents of the communities commended him for series of his unprecedented developmental strides in the local government.
Appealing for understanding and continued cooperation of the people, Hon. Taiwo disclosed that the party has a clear vision to make life comfortable for the people and support their dreams. He solicited for support of the residents and chieftains in the communities.
In their separate remarks, league of Baales in the local government including Chief Felix Oyebamiji Lawal of Badeku, Chief Bolagade Ogunshina of Jago and Chief Okunade Adeyemo of Butu community declared absolute support for the lawmaker, and other candidates of the party.
“He is performing. Across this ward and the entire local government, we love and will continue to support him to succeed in the next election. The whole town is grateful to him,” Comrade Bola Oluokun, an elder in Badeku remarked.
“He revitalised our vandalised electricity, built classrooms in our school and make sure that water continue to flow in our community”, he added.
In general welfare of the people, he is not lagging behind. We love him and will vote for him and his party, ADC as a whole.”
Also part of the campaign tour are Alhaji Ramoni Bankole, Alhaji Oyewole Abokorere, Alhaji Ismaila Akaani, Hon Nurudeen Akanni, Hon Kehinde Adesina, Hon Remi Abidogun, Hon Mutiu Ojetola and several loyalists of the ADC candidates.
