A torrential rainfall, accompanied by windstorms sometimes in February wreaked havoc Itabo community in Ibarapa damaging electric poles, cables and others
The rain, which lasted for over an hour, left the Itabo community in total darkness because it led to the cutoff from electricity power supply to the community since then.
An illustrious son, who is the Supervisory Councilor for Health in Ibarapa East local government, Kehinde Adebayo a.k.a. MODE, took it upon himself to ensure that his people are not left in total darkness being experienced since five months ago.
He came to the rescue of the over 1500 houses by buying new poles and ensuring that the light was fixed for the betterment of the people.
While monitoring the fixing and restoring of the source of light back to the community, Kehinde Adebayo stated that as a political office holder, he is saddled with the well being of his people and supporting the efforts of Governor Seyi Makinde in making life meaningful.
He added that the gesture is from his personal pursue and will not relent in providing succor to the needy and supporting the economy well-being of the people of its constituency.
Appreciating the kind gesture, the head of Prince and Princess from the Onitabo ruling house, Prince Oyeleke Olatunji, appreciates his past and present efforts in human capital and community development of the community indigenes and prayed for him for more grace to do more for humanity.
