The management of the Oyo State College of Education, Lanlate has reacted to the allegations by the Students Union of the institution.
In a telephone interview with InsideOyo.com on Monday, the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Mr S. A. Jolaoso alleged that the students vandalised school properties during the protest.
Jolaoso added that as against claims of the students, the school management isn’t in charge of collecting money adding that all kinds of fees payable by students are being paid into the state government account provided for such.
He said that the school is one of the schools that pay less money among the schools in the state. He added that the school environment is not bushy and there is no reports or whatsoever about animal attacking students anywhere.
He further added that the college will be interested in the sexual harassment allegations that students should follow the appropriate channel to register their complaint.
While speaking further, he said that the Governing Board of the school recently met with the students and no complaints or allegations were reported during the meeting.
He added that students know the right channel to lodge their complaints rather than destroying properties and disturbing the peace in the institution.
