Police, onlookers and journalists held their hands to their chests at Ogboja area of Igboora in Oyo State on Thursday as the bloated and decomposing body of a 25-year-old lady, Mrs Bose Oguntunde, allegedly killed and buried in a shallow grave, was exhumed for investigation.
Nigerian Tribune reports that the two suspects, Dotun Ogunlade (24), who claimed to be a spiritualist, and Mutiu Ayorinde (32) were alleged to have conspired to kill Oguntunde for ritual purposes.
The ritual victim’s head was reportedly severed and burnt in the pot to make money-making charms.
One of her hands was also severed from the wrist, with bits of flesh allegedly requested for by the suspect’s friends.
