The unprecedented grassroot healthcare movement, Pellercare 360 Community Impact Tour, is set to officially kick off this Friday, bringing free, comprehensive medical services directly to the doorsteps of residents across all 13 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the Oyo North Senatorial District.
Initiated by the Ayedero of Yorubaland, Hon. Shina Peller, under the inspiring theme “Alaafia De Ile Wa”, the landmark campaign is built on the core principle that quality healthcare should never be determined by an individual’s wealth or geographical location.
The tour is designed to bridge rural healthcare gaps by deploying multidisciplinary medical teams, diagnostic equipment and free treatments to underserved communities.
The first phase of the massive tour opens on Friday, October 23, at the Ojude Oba Market Square in Iseyin, followed immediately by the second leg on Saturday, October 24, at the Ogbomoso Town Hall in Ogbomoso North.
Both flagship events will run comprehensive, full-day clinics open to all residents at absolutely no cost.
To ensure specialized and efficient medical attention, the outreach features four dedicated clinical zones.
The Women’s Health Pavilion provides medical breast examinations, pregnancy assessments, fertility counseling, and structured health records and referrals.
Also, the Men’s Health Corner offers vital screenings for hypertension, diabetes and, alongside cardiovascular checks and preventive education.
Furthermore, vulnerable groups are given special priority through targeted units, including the Elders Honour Clinic for senior citizens aged 60 and above, which offers priority consultations.
Meanwhile, the Child Health Festival delivers pediatric screenings, deworming interventions, nutritional assessments and parental health education.
Beyond diagnostics and consultations, every participant will receive prescribed medications free of charge.
Designed as a key pillar of Hon. Shina Peller’s strategic health policy agenda for Oyo North, the Pellercare 360 initiative reflects his long-term vision to transform grassroots healthcare delivery across the district when elected senator in 2027.
