Governor Seyi Makinde and his deputy, Engr Remi Olaniyan will receive more than N7 million each as annual salary, InsideOyo.com can report.

Investigations by InsideOyo.com shows that Governor Makinde will receive N7.78 million per annum while Engr. Remi Olaniyan will get N7.39 million per annum.

According to the Remuneration Package of Political, Public and Judicial Office Holders from the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) seen by InsideOyo.com, the first segment of governor’s monthly salary is made up of three items – basic salary, hardship allowance and constituency allowance.

While Governor Makinde is entitle to N649,000 monthly salary, his deputy will take home N616,000 monthly.

The document also showed that the governor and his deputy also have other allowances that are not part of the monthly emoluments. These include accomodation allowance to be paid annually, Furniture allowance, once in 4 years, Duty tour allowance (per night), Estacode, medical, Leave allowance (10%) of N222,000 and an optional motor vehicle loan (400%) at N8.89 million to be repaid before end of tenure.

For Chief of Staff – Bisi Ilaka

He will take basic monthly pay at N111, 435 accumulating to N1.34 million per annum excluding other mouthwatering allowances. The table below shows other emoluments and aides pay.

On Wednesday, Seyi Makinde announced the donation of his entire salary as governor to Teachers Pension Fund.
