A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, has firmly dismissed malicious rumours of her defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC), declaring at the Renewed Hope Oluyole Communities Parley that she remains unwavering in her commitment to the party.

She described the rumours linking her to Accord or any other political party as the handiwork of detractors seeking to mislead the public and create confusion among the massive support base she continues to enjoy across Oluyole Federal Constituency.

The parley, organised by the TASK Community Relations Volunteers, on Friday, brought together community leaders, political stakeholders, and residents from across Oluyole to deliberate on development priorities, deepen grassroots engagement, and strengthen party cohesion.

“I am not leaving the APC for Accord or any other party,” the Oluyole Federal Constituency representative declared on Friday in Ibadan. “I remain fully committed to the APC and to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.”

The event focused on political unity, community participation, and renewed confidence in grassroots mobilisation.

As part of her outreach at the gathering, Akande-Sadipe, who recently marked her 60th birthday, donated wheelchairs, food items, beverages, power banks, caps, and other relief materials to physically challenged persons and other constituents.

She explained that rather than celebrate her 60th birthday in a lavish manner, she chose to channel her resources towards uplifting the people she represents.

Recalling the case of a brilliant physically challenged boy in Ward 2 who had been unable to attend school because he lacked a wheelchair, she said stories such as his inspired her humanitarian intervention.

The lawmaker reiterated her confidence in the national leadership, stating that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is “fighting for the soul of Nigeria” and working to build a lasting legacy for future generations.

She urged members of the community to continue supporting the President, stressing that continuity in leadership would make the work of rebuilding the nation easier, and called on them to vote for Tinubu again in 2027.

Akande-Sadipe also appealed to men to continue supporting women in politics, noting that inclusive representation remains essential to strengthening democratic governance.

She further charged the newly sworn-in Woman Leader and Youth Leader to be intentional in supporting women and carrying young people along.

In that regard, she introduced her “Sister, Hold My Hand Initiative,” aimed at fostering greater solidarity among women, while also emphasising the need to empower the youth as the leaders of tomorrow.

Highlighting some of her achievements, she announced that the Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi, has approved three footbridges on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway following her sustained advocacy in Abuja, while a fourth footbridge has also been captured as a constituency project through her efforts.

During the event, the APC Chairman in Oluyole, Prince Dotun Oladipupo, commended Akande-Sadipe for her quality representation and dedication to the constituency.

He urged her supporters to extend the same loyalty and commitment not only to her, but also to the APC at the senatorial, state, and presidential levels, noting that sustained support would be crucial to the party’s continued success.

Party leaders and members from the various communities in Oluyole took turns to commend her performance and appealed to the leadership of the APC to support her re-election bid.

They described her as a committed and result-oriented representative whose impact remains visible across the constituency.

Notable attendees at the event included Waheed Akinleye, former Chairman of APC in Oluyole; Prince Dotun Oladipupo, APC Chairman in Oluyole; Baba Hon. Razaq Lawal Akilapa; Hon. Olalekan Adeyemo; Dr. Joshua Oyebamiji Senatorial Leader; Hon. Elder Williams Larinde; Elder Alamu Osuolale; Alhaji Kamorudeen Adeoye; Alhaji Muibi Ogunrin;; Otunba  Alhaji Waheed Olawale; Chief Morufu Lamolo; Alhaji Adesina Lawal; Hon. Elegbede Akanbi-Tunde; Prof. Akeem Amodu; Comrade Mudashiru Abimbola; Mrs. Olatunji; Quozeem Arowolaje; and Alhaji Adebisi, Chairman and Liaison of Oluyole Communities.
