President Muhammadu Buhari is currently meeting with serving and former governors over by the worsening security situation in the country.
Nigerian Tribune reports that among the governors in attendance are Ahmadu Fintiri (Adamawa), Babagana Zulum (Borno), Darius Ishaku (Taraba), Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta), Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto).
Others are Emeka Ihedioha (Imo), Dave Umahi (Ebony), Yahaya Bello (Kogi), Mai Malabuni (Yobe), Ifeanyi Ugwanyi (Enugu), Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe), Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos).
Also at the meeting are Abdullahi Badaru (Jigawa) Abdullahi Gamduje (Kano), Willy Obiano (Anambra), Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Sani Bello (Niger), Nasir el-Rufai (Kaduna), Simon Lalong (Plateau).
Others are Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa), Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), Gboyega Oyetola (Osun), Nyesom Wike (Rivers) Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Bello Mutawale (Zamfara), Godwin Obaseki (Edo), Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom), Sarieke Dickson (Bayelsa) and Abounu, Deputy Governor of Benue State, as well as former governor at the meeting, included Zamfara.
The meeting, which started at about 11 a.m, is also being attended by all heads of security.
