Ibadan-born philanthropist and proprietor of Ilaji farms, Engr. Dotun Sanusi has commenced the reconstruction of damaged Akanran road in Ona-Ara local government area of Oyo State.
For close to a decade, the road which leads to the council headquarters and Ogun State border, has been in bad state, hindering vehicular and economic activities in the area.
This is coming few months after Sanusi constructed a 3km concrete road for a community in Elebu area of Ibadan.
Speaking with insideoyo.com, Sanusi whose farms are located within the community, said that “apart from the fact that I have farms an sporting facility within the area, it is one of my ways of giving back to the society. You will agree with me that it is time we looked at what we can offer society and not what society can offer us; government cannot do everything. The local government has also been of help; we are making use of some of their equipment for this project.”
Sanusi, whose Olympic-size stadium is nearing completion, revealed that the first phase of the road reconstruction will cover many kilometres.
