Lawmaker representing Saki East/Atisbo State Constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Riliwan Saminu Gbadamosi (Wale Canada) has emerged as the candidate for the People Democratic Party (PDP) for Atisbo/Saki East, Oyo State House of Assembly in the 2023 general election.
Hon. Riliwan Gbadamosi defeated the other contestant, Alhaji (Prince) Amusat Taoreed at the primary elections held at the Atisbo Local Government Secretariat, Tede, on Sunday.
The returning officer, Mr Adetunji Sola, who announced the result at exactly 5:11pm, said that Alhaji (Prince) Amusat Taoreed pulled two 2 while Hon. Saminu Riliwan Gbadamosi pulled 63 votes to emerge the winner at the primary election.
According to Mr Adetunji, 65 delegates across the two local government (Atisbo/Saki East) participated, accredited and voted in the primaries.
Our correspondent reports that the election was free, fair, and peaceful and that it was conducted in accordance with the party’s constitution, and in the presence of the security personnel.
The primary had in attendance the presence of Hon Commissioner for establishment, Alh Siju Lawal, Chairman Atisbo Local Government, Hon Fasasi Adeagbo, Chairperson Saki East Local government, Hon (Mrs) Ramat Mosunmade Adeniran, Hon Joel Mokanjuola, Hon Elder Debo Adejumobi, Asiwaju Ismail Adedeji, Hon Agbarapo, Mr Ogungbenro, Mrs Nike Arewa, Ward Chairmen, Councillors, and party faithful that cut across of saki-east and atisbo Local Government.
